God's Plans for You

woooah...well i did warn you...

Oh my gosh I haven't written anything since Christmas!!! How mortifying! Well I guess I'll just post an update of my life. TIME OUT. first let me say that it has almost been an entire year since the wonderful day I stepped off of that obnoxiously small plane and onto the beautiful Idaho soil. I can't believe it...I really miss you guys! I hope everyone is doing wonderfully, that school is at least OK, and that planning for the summer is going smoothly :)

Well my big news is that I got accepted to Reformed Theological Seminary, which was my first choice! I'm off to Mississippi to study counseling in the Fall! The city RTS is in has a zoo and an olive garden, so I know I'll be happy there haha. My mother is nervous but I just feel like this whole thing will be a big adventure and I'm really excited :)

Me and Michael are doing really well...we went on a hike Saturday to a gorgeous waterfall in the mtns. That part of the hike was great. The last half of it brought back memories of what we went through when Mean Dean made us bushwack to the top of that mountain during our camping trip. Hardcore! And the last part was also named "Dismal Trail"...I should have known haha. But it was really fun and I loved spending time with Michael and being out in creation. "God is an artist" is a quote that comes to mind :)

The rest of my life can be summed up in one word: Senioritis.

I love and miss ya'll!

christmas :)

Hello all!  Michael's surgery went very well...they removed 2 pieces of cartilage and reattached his ligament. Now he is on crutches and hopping around like a little bunny rabbit. Thanks for the prayers!

Well I'm off to spend the night with my friends at the lake, the weather is insane! 75 degrees...it feels like summer!

Tomorrow i will be 22. That is way too old...I don't feel like an adult. Oh well :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

need help...

Please pray for my boyfriend, Michael. He has surgery Friday morning at 10 on his ankle.  He sprained it playing soccer over a month ago and just now found out that it's pretty messed up. The doctors won't know for sure how bad it is until he is knocked out and they move it around under xray's. Please pray that they only need to clean out torn cartilage instead of having to reattach ligaments and basically reconstruct his whole ankle. Oh and that he won't be nervous about it. Thanks guys.

sorry it's been so long. I just wrote a whole new post and had my internet kick me off right when I finished it...therefore I am too lazy to retype the whole thing, this is the condensed version. I hate school, it is stressful. I have a lot to do. I need Christmas. Clemson lost to our Rivals. Gamecocks are stupid and a chicken is not intimidating. I am sad that I am graduating in Spring. Here is a list of things I love about this time of year, feel free to add your own.IMG_4698

Hot Chocolate and Pumpkin Pie

christmas lights at night

parties and fun stuff with my friends, including, but not limited to: the annual tolbert christmas party, the wacky-tacky christmas sweater party, the Home Alone viewing party, Gabe's annual birthday ski-trip, and packing into cars to go through the Roper Mtn. Light display. I love my friends.

sweaters and my blue snow boots (even though it doesn't snow here, haha)

Cracker Barrel all decked out with holiday paraphenalia

O Holy Night and the instrumental version of Sleigh Ride

Ok that's enough for now, I feel better already :) I think about my Idaho family and friends a lot lately, I miss you all and have  been praying for you, and I wish I could see the snow!

well...today has been....? I don't know. I'm so sorry about Mitch. I am praying for healing and that God's hand will be seen in all this, but these things are easy to say and not very easy to truly believe. I am just very thankful that he is with Jesus right now, that the Lord chose him as His own, and for the impact he had on my life even for the short time I knew him.  I don't know what else to say except I'm so sorry, and I will be praying for everyone as I know you all were very close to him.

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away...
